Some of the breathtaking lakes on the Kashmir Great Lakes trek are Gadsar Lake, Vishansar-Kishansar Lake, Satsar Lake, and Gangabal Lake. This trek is a pilgrimage

Detail Itinerary

Day 1 Day-1 Srinagar to Sonamarg

Let the journey begin when you step in at Srinagar and we take you to our base camp at Sonamarg. Altitude: 2,377 m Time taken:3 hours drive Drive from Srinagar to the base camp at Sonamarg. At Sonamarg, afternoon acclimatization walk.

Day 2 Day-2 Sonamarg To Nichnai-(9 Km, 6 Hours)

A gradual ascent takes us into the valley of Nichnai via famous tabletop that gives a· panoramic view of a chain of mountains that include Thajwas Mountain range and Bear Valley. The Nichnai Valley is known as the valley of wildflowers. We camp in the flowery meadows of Nichnai. Altitude: 3,505 m Time taken: 6 hours, 9 kms

Day 3 Day-3 Nichnai To Vishnusar Via Nichnai Pass (11.5 Km, 6 Hours)

We ascend into the Kishansar/Vishansar Valley—a beautiful valley with two lakes resting soothingly before two lofty mountain peaks. The lakes abound with colourful trout fish. Both of these lakes have a religious significance and they drain into Kishanganga River that meanders through Gurez valley. Altitude: 3,650 m Time: 6 hours, 11.5 kms

Day 4 Day-4 Vishnusar To Gadsar Via Gadsar Pass (11 Km, 6 Hours)

After Vishnusar Lake we discover its sibling lake Krishansar Lake Trekover a ridge. Then we will ascend towards the second pass that is Gadsar Pass. On the other side of the pass there are couple of small lakes, peaks & also the LOC can be seen due to which there is heavy security & all ID cards are checked. We will reach Gadsar by early afternoon and will stay there overnight. Altitude: 4200m Time taken:6 hours, 11 kms

Day 5 Day-5 Gadsar To Satsar (12 Km, 6 Hours)

kms Next morning, we will enter meadow of Rasbal leaving Gadsar behind. Here you will see a flowing river which disappears underground. We will continue our trek while passing 7 small lakes and finally reaching at Satsar camp at the foothills of the third pass Zajibal. Altitude: 3,600 m Time taken: 6hours, 12 kms

Day 6 Day-6 Satsar To Gangbal (9 Km, 6 Hours)

Then we will ascend the last & the highest pass Zajibal (4180m). We bet its picturesque beauty will mesmerize you so much that you will forget your all muscle pains & tiredness. As you move further you will see the beauty of the nature at twin lakes of Gangbal & Nundkol. And here we reach Gangbal for our night stay. Altitude: 4200m Time taken:6 hours, 9 kms

Day 7 Day-7 Gangbal To Narang & Drive To Srinagar(7400 Feet), (10 Kms 11 Km, 5 Hours)

You are going to witness the most beautiful pine forests on this day of your exquisite journey. We leave the twin lakes & trek through meadows of Trunkol & descend to Narang. The trek trail is steep descent here so be careful as now our journey is about to end and finally we are going back to Srinagar. Altitude: 2,271 m Time taken: 5 hours, 10 kms
